Why am I not getting any jobs?

Sorry you’re not seeing as many jobs as you’d like! There could be a few reasons why this is the case:

You don't have a resume uploaded. Without a resume, we don't know what jobs to show you! Our machines read your resume to understand your experience and find jobs for you based off of that experience. Just make sure your resume is a PDF when uploading and you'll be ready to go!

You're not located in the New York City or San Francisco Bay area. While we do have jobs that are located elsewhere, the majority of the ones on Planted will be in these two locations.

Your preferences are restrictive and/or there is a lower volume of jobs that meet your criteria. Many of the jobs on our platform are in Sales or Customer Experience, mainly because these are the sorts of roles that startups need to hire for in bulk. If you don't have either of these in your match preferences, you may not see a huge volume of positions.

In addition, with the introduction of minimum salary, the jobs that you might be qualified for but that don't meet the minimum threshold of your salary range won't show up in your dashboard. However, when you're logged in to the Planted website, there is a Discover More tab when you click on New Jobs. There, you'll see any jobs that don't meet your match preferences as well as any Out of Network jobs.

You have not completed at least an associate's degree. The vast majority of our full-time roles require at least a completed associate's degree, so if you didn't attend college or are still in school, you may not be seeing as many roles as you'd like.
